We started our trip Saturday, my DH and I flew into Jacksonville. We picked up a rental car and drove into St Augustine. We had never been to northern Fl in all our travels, so this a new adventure. We stayed at the HoJo which was a short walk from St George St, the fort, and right in front of the famed "fountain of youth". The trolley stop was in the parking lot, but we decided to take on the town by foot. We headed to St George St to check out the shops and find a place to dine. After some advice by the locals we opted to eat @ Harry's. We sat outside and had a terrific dinner. Their homemade butter would have made a tire taste heavenly! Our waiter, Matt, originally from PA, made the experience a pleasant one as well. We then walked the fort grounds and got some pictures, then headed back to the HoJo as we had been up since 4am.

Sunday am we got up, had breakfast @ Denny's across the street. Then we walked to the site of the first "church" service in America. What a spiritual experience!

After we checked out, we drove along A1A and stopped @ 2 beaches and admired the awesome homes. I must mention how friendly the locals were throughout the towns we visited...not at all like other places we have traveled. I seriously would love to move there! We made a stop @ WalMart and got a 12 pack of diet Pepsi and water to carry on with us.

Cabin Review

U235 was a quiet room at the end of the hall, starboard side. It was next to the last balcony. The extra walk was worth not having the traffic passing by our door.
