just off the dream may 15th --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi thereLet me just say, after reading all the boards, i was a bit concerned about the ship. it was great!! i have cruised extensively on RC, celebrity and princess. i am a platinum member on RC and get a lot of perks. this was our first disney cruise with no perks at all, with my dd and a friend, celebrating her 10th bday. i got to the port @ 11:30, it was crowded, and had a CRAZY LOVE BUG break out. so that made the wait feel worse( i understand this only happens for a short time during the month of may). after waiting outside terminal to get a boarding number, we then checked in, no line. and then waited for boarding to begin. we were onboard by 1 pm. I had group number 10. there is absolutely no correspondence bwt the arrival time you check online, and the time you arrive and get a number. aqua duck is fantastic, not very long waits, if you are used to waiting in disney lines, this line is a piece of cake. never waited longer than 20 min, mostly less, and we went on a lot. be sure to ride at night. the ship is beautiful, cabin awesome, had a balcony on deck 9 aft. (From someone who has never sailed in anything other than a suite) double baths great.dining, was mostly good, not great, was expecting better, i dont care for the food on royal, this was about the same. dinind rooms are really, really nice and i like that you change every night.I did not spend any time in the adult areas, but i did check them out, it was a strange set up to say the least. the district( adult bar areas) felt like you were in a bunch of attached caves, with each door closing behind you. no air or natural light, and each themed differently and small, the size of a large living room.adult pool not bad, but small as well.my least favorite designed area, was the suites, the were behing a gate by the spa in the front of the ship. i always thought that the highest floors in the middle of the ship were the most sought after and that is where most of the suites i have bee in were located. i have been in the back of the ship as well. it just did not seem inviting, again closed off secluded.as everyone else said the pool deck was maddening. they dont even have alot of chaise lounges, there are mostly deck chairs. we did enjoy it earlier in the day without crowding and later as well. we had not planned to get off the ship in nassau, but by 10:30/ 11 am the pool was crazy. so we got a taxi and went to atlantis for beach and aquaventure. you do not have to book thru the ship, go directly thru nassau terminal to taxis on the street and (for 8.00 and 10 minutes of travel time) go to the royal towers and in the middle of casino, there is a booth to sell you passes. i would say during a holiday to call first, but otherwise, no problem.we had til 7 pm at port that day.castaway- awesome, not enought ime to see everything if you dont want to walk miles in the heat. what we did see was family beaches, a bit of shopping, lunch area, and water slide (must do).the morning of departure we took our time getting off the ship, went to the buffet, (which they dont tell you is open) and took it back to our room and departed by 9. at that point there was a long wait. did not exit terminal til 10. from what i understand, if you get off earlier it is not as crowded.i used private transportation to and from the port. i have a driver i use often in orlando, Angel Crespo 407-666-3932 angelsluxurytranportation.com flat rate $115.00 to port plus tip depending on gas prices as well. nice passenger vani also used mike at executive vip limousine $100.00 flat rate plus tip town car 321-452-6187 executiveviplimousine.comi think that is all for now, sorry for the sloppiness, in a hurry.
