This cruise was our Platinum voyage, room 11260 balcony, second cruise on the Dream. Platinum status gives you better service and is an extra perk for repeat cruisers on Carnival. You even get free laundry service. We loved it.Embarkation and debarkation is now down to a science. Very fast and efficient. We took advantage of the express luggage at the end of the cruise and our luggage was waiting for us when we arrived at our final destination. No worries!!First, let me say, a cruise is what you make it. The crew had to accommodate about 4,000 passengers and work mostly for tips. For the number of people, they do an exceptional job. We find it is to your advantage to factor in extra tips to your budget for room service, waiter and asssistant waiter and especially your cabin steward (Maggie was wonderful). You will find that your service and cruise experience is a whole lot better. Our room service was always more than prompt.Get involved in the activities on board. Expect crowds, so be patient. The ship was immaculate and the staff was very friendly. As always, the Steakhouse had impeccable service and great food. We were very disappointed that we could not get a reservation to the CHEF'S TABLE. If you love fine cuisine, they say this is an experience of a lifetime. Hosted personnally by the Chef (a charge for the experience but worth it).Excursions: Passion Island by Twister, fun, fun. It's like a roller coaster ride across the ocean and the Mayan buffet was good. Beautiful island!!Belize has the most beautiful coral reefs and great snorkeling and scuba. We went to Tabyana beach in Roatan. It is a less crowded beach than the one just off the cruise ship and you get to see the beautiful island with gorgeous homes. In Costa Maya, people were taking golf carts to downtown for better shopping deals. The only part of the shore excursion experience we thought could be better is including tips in the price of your tickets. Sometimes there are too many people to tip on one excursion. We had a great time. Met wonderful people. Carnival took excellent care of us and we are looking forward to our next Carnival cruise.

Cabin Review

11260 is a little close to the public area by the pool. Sometimes at night we would hear music but it was not unbearable. We were still able to sleep.
