Ok, folks just returned from a 7 night western carrib. cruise on NCL's Epic. I will admit we were very hesitant after reading some of the reviews. We are not overly picky people but really need clean and comfy to enjoy. We have stayed at the Ritz, Hilton, Hyatt and some lower end hotels. Folks, if you really can find something to complain about then I say you are nit-picking. Deluxe balcony room was very nice lots and lots of storage actally too much it was easy to forget where things were. Bed very comfy, shower was huge plenty of room in toilet area. Glass doors no biggie really! Pools fine I admit on the smaller side but they were never overcrowed. We layed out by the pool but I actually prefer going up to deck 18 for some peace and quiet and they had showers to rinse off or cool off were great! We ate at Taste, the buffet,O'Sheehans,Cagneys, kids (19&21) ate at Moderno Churrascaria. No complaints at any of these. Wish we had more time to visit other venues. A week really isnt long enough to see the whole ship. We have seen Blue Men twice already in Orlando the show on the Epic was just as good, we enjoyed all the entertainment we did not do the Cirque dinner show or the mystery lunch. Very easy to find your way around the ship. Casino was fine, yes there is smoke It seemed I always had a chain smoker right next to me. I do have asthma so at times I did have to move. One odd thing was one morning I went into the bathroom in O'Sheehans which is right off of the Casino area. The door was propped open and it did reek of smoke I thought someone was smoking in there but there wasnt. I did get a quick headache from it..must of been coming in a vent. Once I got out my headache went away. Dont forget your sweaters the air works just fine on the ship. All in all, we will def. sail on the Epic again. Not crazy about the western ports.
