After cruising on the Carnival Destiny in 2010 on a 4 night cruise I came home and booked a 5 night to take my family on in 2011. The atmosphere, service, dining, spa treatments, cabins and entertainment are fabulous. Each cruise teaches you how to return and make it better the next time. After going through close to 3 days of a 4 day cruise to learn how to find the Universe Dining Room I opted for 'Anytime Dining' in The Galaxy Dining Room this year.Last year the gym was easily accessible. This year I think we had trainers and athletes on the ship. It didn't matter we just used the stairs more. The fitness director created great seminars that I found informative and have many new ideas to use now that I am back on dry land and back to my local gym.The new Spa facials are exceptional. My daughter-in-law & myself pampered ourselves with the Elemis Oxydermy Facial plus added Collagen bonus treatment.Being women on a regular skincare program we are quite critical of such services but went in open minded. This was so fantastic that our improved skin texture and softness still exists several days after our cruise has ended. We think our next Carnival cruise will involve several Spa Treatments. There were 4 weddings on this cruise. 2 were going on while were still in the Port of Miami. The other 2 appeared to be in Jamaica and back on the ship afterwards. The food was exceptional. I am very puzzled at reviews that are dissatisfied with the food selections. Even a choice in the 24hr pizzeria was hot and luscious. Our wait staff were so accommodating and friendly. Fine attention was always given to my chatty 5 yr old grandson also -he loved his chicken nuggets or hot dogs with fries.I cannot say enough about the wonderful organized Camp Carnival Staff. They have this program down to a science with varied activities and events for the children. They even plan dining with the children. As adults we don't have much to offer except taking the children to the pool or water slide -that does not really fill up the day for these energetic little cruisers.Entertainment was varied from deck games, piano bar sing a long, Karaoke, wonderful bands, and individual musicians playing long into the night. The Cruise Director kept the activities moving along and announced events daily.Fellow passengers were quite friendly on this cruise making the experience one of the best ever. There were some groups from Chicago, Detroit and NYC who were always at Karaoke and the Piano Bar. Just a lot of fun people on this cruise. It was very easy to strike up a conversation with other guests and I attribute that to the staff pampering the guests and keeping everyone happy. The new Carnival loyalty program is something I took advantage of and if I do not book next year I will be back on a Carnival ship in 2013. No doubt in my mind.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabins were great- we don't go on vacation to spend time in a room

or cabin. Essentially we need a place to take a shower, change clothes

and sleep. We were more than satisfied with our accommodations.
