This was our first Celebrity experience, and our first time thru Panama Canal. I want to highlight how impressed we were with the cleanliness of the ship, and how the staff reminded cruisers...gently, to keep hands clean. They greeted you with smile, great eye contact and offer of hand sanitizer....as well as having the automatic ones available everywhere. What a great way to keep the ship and crew. cruisers safe. The food was excellent, and the executive chef very available.....they put on many programs which were fun and educational. Tour of ships galley, several cooking demos and competitions were great fun. The entertainment shows were exceptional....only one was less than excellent! In addition, they had full schedule of things to do for all sea days. It was had to find time for R/R with all the things to do. Highlight for us was the day spent in the Panama Canal, and the educational ongoing information as we went thru the canal. We also loved Cabo. We were very impressed with the availability and visibility of the ships officers.....very customer focused and great models for the rest of the crew. Examples of this....the executive chef carrying food trays for some of the passengers (not just having someone else carry them); ships officers eating in buffet with rest of cruisers...when one of the waiters asked one which island we were passing...as one of his guests had asked him; the officer stopped his meal to call and verify we were passing Cuba....waiter went back to guest to give them correct answer. All in all, great cruise....only negatives was the amount of focus on buying items on deck 5 emporium. But, as no overhead pages.....it was not difficult to find another deck to pass thru and miss the enticing raffles, sales. Will definately travel with Celebrity, and recommend it to others....not sure about family travel; but definately for couples and groups without children.
