Back today from our wonderful cruise! 9 nights was a great relaxing vacation, especially 4 sea days. We were lucky to have perfect weather and great sea conditions! The jewel is a beautiful ship, but the crew was equally as great! We had a balcony room, deck nine. We were more forward than I would like, but the seas were so calm that it didn't matter, the food was so good, I especially enjoyed the garden cafe. Indian food was good, chinese food was good, choice of custom made pastas were very good. The salads were great, and make sure to have the fruit! Best pineapple ive had in a long time! Plenty of great choices. The dinning choices were very good as well. I always asked for the chefs choice , and was never disappointed. We enjoed the regular dining rooms quality of food, that we didnt even bother going to the specalty restaurants. I was very disappointed with the chocolate buffet, just average chocolate fare. And I wasn't impressed with the chocolate carvings either! But by the 8th night I really wasn't craving chocolate anymore! We embarked around 1:00pm, very fast and efficient. Room ready around 3:00 pm, so we lunched on the aft in the garden buffet, best chocolate brûlEe, but never served again. We disembarked at 8:00 am, carried our own luggage out, so that was equally as fast. Coulnt believe how fast this all went, felt like we were the only ones getting off, very odd, where did all the passengers go I was thinking as we waited for our ride! One complaint was that I couldn't use my 3 g on my iPad! They make you hook up to their satellite, and this could be expensive. And second is the coffee , it's just ok. But all in all it was a memorable cruise and would recommend this ship, but the jewel of the ship is her crew! Enjoyed " Dan the man". And the ladies who greet you with hand sanitizer! " washie washie, happy happy! Each and every visit to the garden cafe. So tired now , if anyone has questions, I'll be happy to answer them. Happy sailing! Anne
