disappointing we have cruised royal caribbean 4 times before including last November. this trip i found the food in both the dining room and the the windjammer unimaginative, tasteless and of a quality i would expect from a hospital or school cafeteria. we always dine in the dining room unless the ship was in port when only the windjammer is the only open food venue open. the selection of items on the regular dining room menu was very limited, i ended up sending the main entree back for another item almost every night. even the desserts lacked richness in taste - i truly had only one desert i would want a second helping.all the staff were polite, helpful and seemingly happy to provide service - no complaints there only compliments.i enjoyed the serenade of the seas from the stand point of never feeling crowded or that the ship was too big - kudos to the ships designersthe ship entertainers were talented and seemed genuinely interest in pleasing the audience and achieving maximum audience participation.boarding and disembarkation was very easy.according to the dining room captain they had recently changed the menu - it would seem the quality of food also noticeably declined. seafood entrees were tasteless as was all the beef items and leg of lamb.our expectation of royal Caribbean were sorely not met. there are several lines like carnival and NCL that we avoided because of feedback from friends and family. regretfully we have to add royal caribbean to the bottom tier cruise lines and well tell all our cruising friends the same.one last comment - although there were 2 formal nights - it was noticeable that the dining room staff did nothing to enforce or even encourage compliance. for example one women came to the dining room with a red bandanna on her head tied like a doo rag and wearing a tube top. the fact that she was 400+ pounds and under 5'4" did not make it any more attractive. on our last princess cruise i did not have my tie on and was politely turned away from the dining room - my tie was home and at the first port i bought a replacement for use aboard ship.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

well laid out balcony cabin - plenty of store for 3 suitcases worth of clothing and things - big stain on couch never attended to - no electrical outlets bedside to accommodate c-pap, had to use 2 electrical cords provided by guest services - small but accommodating bathroom
