My boyfriend and I (we got engaged while on the cruise on my birthday, so he's my "fiance" now! ) took our first cruise in April 2011. We had the best vacation ever. The rooms were clean there was plenty of storage, and we had everything we needed. Juan (our stateroom steward) did a great job taking care of us during our voyage. There was always something to do on the ship, we were never bored. We played Bingo, tried our luck in the casino (that didn't go very well, but it was fun), hung out at the pool and listened to the band play and danced the night away in the casino lounge. Santan was always there to get us drinks or anything else we needed at the moment. The food was excellent and there were plenty of options to choose from. We can't wait to plan our next cruise with Carnival, it truly was the best vacation we have ever had, and we've been on several different vacations. We're getting married next year in June, so maybe a honeymoon cruise is in our future !!
Cabin Review
Balcony
We had a balcony cabin on the Lido deck (9th floor). It was a great location, since the buffet and the pool deck were on the same level. Carnival did a great job of keeping the noise level out of the cabin areas. We never heard any noise, and slept very peacefully. The room was much bigger than we had expected, and we had plenty of space to store our things. The bathroom and shower were good size, and we didn't feel like we were crammed into a small space. The view off the balcony was breathtaking. My fiance proposed on the balcony just as the sun was setting and glistening on the beautiful blue waters....it was PERFECT!!!!
