Had a fantastic time on this cruise. Travelled with family and friends, very few complaints.EmbarkationWe embarked in Barcelona. It was very busy and there was only ONE scanner/xray machine for everyone! The information was very poor, they didnt tell us what we needed to do or where to go. Took about 2-3 hours of waiting to be called so we could check in and get on the ship. This was the only real complaint of the whole experience.ShipThe ship is amazing. Everything is spotlessly clean as the staff were cleaning 24/7. Many bars and restaurants to suit everyones tastes. There are 4 pools (I think), which includes an adult one, in a nice quiet area. Pools were all very clean, although the jacuzzi water looked slightly grey and dirty (didnt go near those!) All towels are provided which is fantastic as it means you dont need to pack any! CabinWe had an outside cabin with a balcony. Everything was fantastic, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. The maids cleaned our room twice a day, once in the morning, and once when while we was eating dinner where they folded down our bed sheets. Restaurants and BarsThe main dining room, called the red velvet is where we ate dinner every night. There are two sittings 6:30 and 9:30. Food is absolutely fantastic and it was very rare we found something we didnt like. The portions were small but you could pick up to around 6 courses so you definitely didnt go hungry. There is also a buffet where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food here was also great. So many things to choose from, and you can have as much as you want. It gets VERY busy in the morning before the boat docks, and we found ourselves wandering around for which felt like forever trying to find a table to sit at. THere was also a mexican and a french restaurant, however we were so pleased with the other restaurants we didnt try these! ExcursionsWe did an excursion as every port except Marseille. All were great however I think they were slightly overpriced at around 45 euros each, which is almost 100 euros for a couple just for one excursion! EntertainmentWe went to the theatre to see a show every night. Most shows were very good, however a few which were very boring. They were only around 30-40 minutes long, which was good. OtherWater - All drinks had to be bought except for juice and tea/coffee at breakfast. I think there should have been at least one bottle of free water delivered to cabins everyday, as I found myself getting very dehydrated due to lack of fluids! You are also constantly reminded that bringing any drinks on board is forbidden and they will be confiscated. Our bags were xrayed every time we got on the ship, and had drinks in most times. They didnt confiscate ours or anyone elses drinks (that we noticed) so dont worry if you want to bring a bottle of water onboard! Formal/gala nights - Many people didnt even bother dressing up for these evenings, which was quite disappointing. I even spotted one man in a polo tshirt! We had 3 gala nights on our weeks cruise.Theres always something going on on this ship. Aerobics to the liquid disco. Really enjoyed our weeks holiday, however next time I would pick an itinerary with a few more "at sea" days, as going on excursions every day was extremely tiring. Overall a great ship, would go again!
