How do you say any other word than Awesome. We just returned from our 11-day adventure and had an amazing time on the Equinox and met some amazing friends and booked again with Celebrity for a reunion cruise in two years. Now for the cruise, embarkment was the best we have ever encountered and Celebrity has seemed to have mastered this compared to the other two cruise lines we have been on. We arrived at the terminal at 11:10am and were on the ship at 11:30am, now that is fast, well done. The life boat drill was fast and easy then all the Cruise Critics together for a sailway party which was great to meet everyone on the board.Overall the ship was amazing and so clean, from the general areas to out cabin. We stayed in Aqua class and enjoyed it so much. Out room attendant Rowlan was great, he stated he has worked for them for 13 years I think and he still loves his work and meeting people. Our room was always made up and had nightly turn down service. The bathroom was big for a cruise ship and the shower was great. On the second day we had a cruise critics party put on by Celebrity which was a nice touch. We got to meet the ships officers which was nice but the one thing that struck me funny was the Captain wasn't there.Dinning was 5 star plus. We ate at the Blu every morning for breakfast and most suppers unless we were in a speciality. The food was like eating in a speciality every night and our two servers Iwan's went beyond what was expected. We were talking and saying if we could only take this type of service to our own restaurants back home.We also had eaten at the Tuscany which was amazing, we had the steak which was so moist you could almost break it away with your fork. Service was incredible here as well. We also ate at the Silk Harvest and the service was very good here as well. The food was good but I don't think I would eat here again, it just didn't wow me that muchWe caught two shows the Cirque and Ventriques show and both were great. We also took in the workers show who show case their talents. There was one performer who was a waiter and for the life of me I can't understand why he is waiting on tables, his voice knocked me off my seat. I forgot his name but he was from the DR and sang a Spanish love song. If anyone from Celebrity is reading this website, wake up and get this guy in one of your lounges singing. If there was one complaint I would have been that there was not enough early entertainment in the lounges like other cruise we have been on. I really wanted to see the comedian but I wasn't staying up until midnight to see his show as I needed to get my morning workout in at 6am when the great gym opened up.The main reason we booked this cruise was the ports of call. Cozumel - we have been before so we went to the beach and spent a nice relaxing day with other Cruise Critic friends.Roatan - I really enjoyed this port, we went off to snorkel on the Jolly Roger on the reef, had a great meal and some rum punch and local beer. The real fun began when we got back to port and went to a little beer stand right by the boat and partied with some of the locals working the bar, what a great time. Costa Rica - thank you Oscar Brown for a wonderful tour and a great time. My advice is don't book on the ship, book with Oscar Brown, you have to take a short walk too just outside the cruise terminal where all the shops are, but it will be well worth the walk. We went to the rain forest, banana factory, river tour and a great meal at the beach. Trust me when I say this is a great person and his sister Carol answers your e-mails right away.Panama - went to the locks and Panama city with friends of ours who live there, what a great time and I loved Panama City, I could retire thereColumbia - I was very surprised here and took a tour of the old city and new city from the cruise, had an amazing time and what a beautiful city. There were lots of people around trying to sell stuff but say nada and they left you alone and move on, no worse than any of the beggars in our cities. I would have liked too spent more time in the old city.Grand Cayman - have been there before, took a tour to the beach then back to town to buy some cheap good rum.Overall we had an amazing time and can't wait to go back again, we said we would keep searching different cruise lines until we found the one that suited us, well now we are hooked on Celebrity.

Cabin Review

Cabin AQ

We enjoyed our cabin which had great size. It was an Aqua class cabin and had all the spa specialties added in. The bathroom was very large with a great big shower. Balcony was a good size, but the over hang gave a little to much shade when the sun was up from 10am to 3pm.
