How Anyone Could Complain About This Cruise is Beyond Me

Sail Date: April 2011
Destination: Southern Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

By far, this was the most relaxing, luxurious cruise we have ever taken. We have sailed on three other different lines, but the truth of the matter is, we have absolutely fallen in love with Celebrity. We especially loved their smoking policy, and the smokers stayed in their designated areas, so it made it easy to avoid those places. That being said, there is just one other comment we must make regarding the smoking areas, and that is we were wondering why Celebrity would have a smoking area right in the middle of the jogging track. Seems like they could have done better in that regard, as it makes no sense to take a healthy walk, jog, or run through a blue cloud on one corner.

Other than this bit of information, we thought that Celebrity beat RCI, HAL and Princess hands down in all regards. We loved our wait staff at our 8:30 dining seating, and we were amazed that all other attendants who were there to tend to our needs called us by name every single day, even from way More down the hall. Our cabin was perfect in every way. So, we can't say any more about how wonderful our cruise was. Just picture in your own mind the most perfect cruise, and you'll be there with Celebrity. Less

Cabin review: Celebrity Equinox Deluxe Ocean View W/ Veranda Sunrise Deck (7) 7246

The lifeboats have a great paint job on their tops, with wonderful life rings as we had a wonderful view of that from our balcony cabin. Note to self.....make sure you check with travel agent about the exact view you will be getting from your balcony on your next cruise.

This is exactly what we expected about visiting an old historic city. Worth the visit, even though the locals can be extremely "in your face" persistent about selling their trinkets.

We give this a high rating just because of our visit to the rain forest and the Gatun Locks. The town was extremely filthy and dangerous, according to taxi drivers and fellow tourists. Just take a tour and get back on the ship and don't linger around.

We always love visiting Cozumel.

A wonderful shopping experience. Bought local rum at Hammerhead's and a great diver's watch that was tax and duty free.

We had the best tour of a Hacienda up in the mountains here. We saw how they processed sugar cane, macadamia nuts and coffee. Enjoyed this 6 hour tour to the fullest. The bus ride was scary, but we still enjoyed it, as our drive loved to pass on the double yellow on curves.

Loved the diving. Thought the short walk to the town was interesting.....we bought coffee there.
