I was really dreading this holiday, but it turned out to be one of the best holiday experiences we have had. The staff were so lovely and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Our cabin was a family cabin and slept four so it did get cramped at times, but then our two children were teenagers so that was to be expected. It was kept spotlessly clean by the gorgeous Elizabeth who always greeted you with a happy smile, she was superb. The toilet blocked on one occasion and I informed the receptionist at 0430hrs (as I was unable to sleep and it was a 24hr reception). It came as quite a shock to my kids and husband when a plumber arrived to fix the loo 10 minutes later. Food wise - I think I must have gained an extra couple of stones. There was so much available. The Lido deck food buffet was amazing, and we dined nightly in the Orion restaurant where we were treated like royalty. Thanks Tony, Edmun and Leith. We were all inclusive which turned out to be excellent value for money where the drinks package was concerned, and my kids loved the mocktails 'Shirley Temple please' became a well used phrase that fortnight. We embarked at Palma and it was a trouble free process, we were off the coach and in our cabins within 30 minutes. On our final day we had to leave our cabins by 8am, but our flight was later in the day. Our package was valid until the moment we left the ship. So there were no issues there either. The entertainment was first class, and the evening quizzes were at times hilariously funny. We also loved listening to 'Strum Jam' too.On the down side, the excursions were a little overpriced so we made our own way to many of the destinations from the port. However the destinations staff were happy to help you plan your route If you go on this cruise, please listen out for the Captains stories in the evIning. Very funny. Could I also ask that if you do go on this cruise, please make a special fuss of the Filipino staff who work long, hard hours but never stop smiling and laughing. They were brilliant, and really helped make our cruise so special (thanks Ermille!!!).
