We started by staying at Holiday Inn Express in Miami, they had free shuttle service to and from the airport. It was okay for one night stay waiting for cruise, an I-Hop was next door, ok food but slow service. We never did see the pool we think it was across the street. This hotel did offer shuttle service to the port for $10 per person but there was about 80 people waiting for this service and it was slow. We had already prepaid for Carnival transportation to the port so we took free shuttle back to airport and got on Carnival bus to port, very easy to do.Arrived at port around 10:30 got in the VIP line and zipped on up to the VIP lounge check in was very quick and smooth, the other members of our party were not VIP but we all had to stay together to check in (just make sure if one person VIP the whole group is VIP). VIP were allowed to get on ship first, had our swimsuits on and started enjoying the ship, they had a buffet set up on Lido Deck 9 and were already serving us umbrella drinks! At 1:30 we got to go to our Suite 7242, it was awesome, double sink and jacuzzi tub in bathroom 2 large closets and plenty of drawer space, refrig and amenities (just FYI our ship did not have hair conditioner available) all soaps, razors, blow dryer where there. Juan was our room steward and he ROCKED!Things to must do on ship: see Jon in the piano bar, he was awesome. Our 12 yr old enjoyed Circle C, we only saw her to eat at supper and sleep at 1 am. They had activities for them til 1 am every morning, even had shore excursions. My hubby enjoyed the cigar bar and we all enjoyed the casino.Day 1 at Grand Caymans: Tender to island, not hard to get one here, we booked thru Island Marketing for Captain Bryans stingray city and snorkeling. They had a tent right thru the gates, very easy to find, we shopped downtown first then headed out on a private catamaran they supplied water and juice, but you were allowed to bring beverages of your choice alcohol, snacks, etc. they did have a bathroom also. They took pics of us at stingray city (kissing and holding sting rays) then they took us snorkeling at different spot, would highly recommend as only 42 people others had over 100 people on boats. Got back to Caymans and still were able to shop some more before we left.Day 2 Honduras, what a beautiful beach Carnival has here! We walked right outside the compound and went to Clip N Zip and went ziplining only $40 a person, there is quite a hike up hill to first zip after truck ride thru the jungle. Get here first when off ship so you can enjoy shops (have a nice cigar shop here) and then go to the beach! Walk to the beach don't take the ski lift, it is $12.95 a person round trip and the walk is like 3 minutes and easy! They have a Fat Tuesday down at beach, we just hopped some chairs and enjoyed the fun in the sun, water, food and drinks, it was an awesome day.Day 3 Belize, this is tender, takes about 30 mins on a tender to get to Belize. If you book a trip with Carnival you get tickets first to get on tenders, otherwise you have to go to different area of ship to get tickets to get off at other end of boat. After 11 am you don't need a ticket, 5 of our group did this and it still took them 30 - 40 mins to get a tender. My dad and I took a Carnival excursion here just in case we would be late, good thing we did cause we were over an hour late getting back from our excursion. We went on Raiders of the Lost Mayan Cave, it states its difficult but my 72 yr old dad said it was easier then ziplining. The bus ride there is 70 mins thru jungle of Belize, it was fun, they kept you hydrated as cave was 110 degrees, then fed us at the end. They take pics of you here and you can buy a disc at end and get disc right there, we did it was $25. When we got back to port they let us do quick shopping for 15 mins then tendered back. Belize is a really poor 3rd world country. Never felt unsave though. Wont leave the port area unless on excursion though, it looked really really rough and my hubby (who grew up and lived 35 years in southwest Detroit) started and decided they better not after they were approached by some locals.Day 4 Cozumel. What a blast! We booked thru Island Marketing here for Nachi-Cocom a private beach resort all-inclusive. We got a van (7 of us for $32 one way) for about 10 min drive to resort. It was the best! All the drinks (alcoholic and non) you could drink no fee! They also served you food free, you got to choice an appetizer most of us got nachos then an entree the chicken tacos were awesome then you got a dessert all included stay as long as you want. They had palm tree cabanas and chairs for everyone, volleyball, snorkeling, jet skiing, pairasailing. Our 18 and 17 yr old went jet sking it was $60 for half hour and got snorkeling equipment $17 for the day, I would take your own snorkeling equipment cause there are so many places to use at each stop instead of renting next time. Our last day at sea, shopping, clubbing and casino. Our group was 73 - 12 years old for spring break and our kids have asked when is our next cruise! Everyone had a blast. We stayed at Embassy Suites at Miami Intl Airport when we got back, an awesome hotel, they have a nice pool, hot tub and even a full made to order breakfast omeletes, eggs, bacon sausage, everything you can imagine for breakfast and it was FREE. They even had a managers reception from 5 - 7 pm and it was all the alcohol you could drink in 2 hours for FREE. The rooms were a bedroom, kitchen area with dining table and living room. 2 TVs very nice hotel and the staff was great!Only one thing Carnival could improve on and that is the choices at the buffet they seemed to be the same thing everyday, but overall it was a great time!Pop cards are really a waste of money unless you are a pop aloholic, pop $2 each cards $50.00, and there was always water, tea, lemonade available and at buffets time juices and milk.
