I have just returned from my first cruise. I did the 7 day Treasures of the Med cruise of the Thomson Dream from 9th to 16th April. After seeing the watchdog programme last year and again, more worryingly, 2 days before we set sail, I was full of nerves and when I should have been looking forward to my holiday I was dreading it!!!Anyone going on this ship should take no notice whatsoever of the negative press. As a newbie to crusing I have nothing to compare this ship to but I can honestly say that there is not a single thing that I could complain about. The cabins were spacious and spotlessly clean (thanks Malik) and the towels were changed twice a day. The food was fantasic. We tended to eat breakast and lunch in the Lido buffet restaurant on Deck 9 and Diner in the waiter service Orion Restaurant on Deck 4, where you can have a 6 course meal. The crew couldn't do enough for you. They work such long hours but always have a smile on their faces and time for evryone. The entertainment was brilliant. A big well done and thank you to Paul Fisher, our Cruise Director and his team.As you can probably tell from all this gushing, I had a fantastic time and can't wait to book my next one!! Anyone who is worying about the bad reviews and Anne Robinson - DON'T!! Enjoy every minute - I know you will!!
