Booked couple of weeks before departure from newspaper ad - . Thought price good. Flew Singapore Airlines which we recommend - they were excellent. Taking early flight from UK we knew from this site would not be able to get on the ship straight away.Pleasantly surprised when we found we had been upgraded from inside to outside with port hole. Cabin clean. Beds comfy.Food on board good. Had 8.30 dining. Allotted table. People were good fun. Could always get sunbed on sea days.Happy hour 5 to 8.30, 2 for 1 this included cocktail of the day for 5.5 Euros, it did not include bottles of wine as the travel agent had told us.Outside of this bar prices very expensive.Now the bad. Once on ship told about 6 Euro per day per person charge (for tips) and the 15% service charge on drinks. This added to your final bill.Tried to get removed as we would have preferred to give our own tips.This was not allowed. Daily show was at 6.30 far too early. Could not go to the later one because that was on whilst we were at the fixed 8.30 dinner. Shame cos on couple of nights they had later show and the dancer and singers were good. However the singers in the bars were poor. St Patricks night which was billed was canceled because the rep could not download any Irish music from the internet. So not very well organised. The Casino was expensive, no £1 tables open and very often hardly anybody in there - empty. Late night nightclub empty.English rep very poor. Had no knowledge about the itinerary The trips arranged by Costa were all very expensive.If u arranged your own there were taxi drivers at the port you could negotiate with. Itinerary - Singapore is lovely.Have done port review for this. Kuantan - why did they stop? Costa just sold tours here.Nothing to see or do.Bangkok - port review - 2 hours from port.Costa you need to stay here for 2 whole days.Ko-Samui - beaches on side away from port are suppose to be good. if you come out of port and walk to the right for about 10 or 15 minutes there is a small beach here.belongs to hotel but if you buy a drink you can use.Malaca - port go left. You will see what looks like a 1940's 50's U S ship.Go left here and you will see signs for River Tour. Think about £2 We walked along and it was very pleasant. Market with tourist stuff. China Town. If you don't go left and carry on walking there is a shopping mall.Apparently glasses are very cheap here. We did a Duck Tour which was not very good.Phuket Town - where we in the wrong place, not impressed.Went to Pattong Beach in the eve.Lots of bars and restaurants.Lady boys eekLangkawi-port review - lovelyPenang - at the Costa port straight in front of you there is a fort.
