We liked the itinerary and decided to take the plunge on the Costa Luminosa despite some disappointing reviews, surely it come be that bad.Oh dear, what an unmitigated disaster the whole cruise turned out to be. From the moment we stepped on board we were made to feel as unwanted as the plague. Many of the staff were rude, the photographers were very arrogant and argumentative.Our cabin steward Norbert and our waiter Gary were the only exceptions to this, both behaved in an admirable and conscientious manner at all times and kept our spirits up when at times we could easily have walked off this awful ship.Food on board (compared with other cruise lines we have been with) I can only describe as being just above "pigswill". Very very poor, mostly cold or just warm, much almost inedible.Drinks were far too expensive, many people did not drink at all because of it.The cabin was above the theatre and many nights we were woken to performers practising, often until 2-30 am.Complaints were noted but not dealt with.This is by far the VERY WORSE cruise I have EVER experienced. NOT to be recommended.
