Let me start off by saying that I am not a nit-picky person and that I have been on over 25 cruises with many different lines. This was my fourth with Princess and it will be my last. I just got back from the holiday cruise over the 24th with a total of 15 family members and all of our thoughts were the same.

Let me start by mentioning the good areas before I talk about the bad. First off, embarkation was a breeze. There was little waiting and we were let on quickly. Second, we enjoyed our rooms and our cabin steward Caesar. If we needed anything we would go to him. Third, the ship is gorgeous. It is a big ship that can be overwhelming at first but once you get the hang of where you are going, it becomes easier. And lastly, the shore excursions that we took were great. I recommend the Marietas Island/Eco Tour to everyone, we had a great time on it.

Now to the disappointments about the ship. The first was the service. The service was horrendous, I felt as though it was the crew's first voyage. The drink orders were never right, nobody knew where anything was and to top it off, they were rude. Second off, the food and drinks were horrible. The drinks from the bar were all watered down and the food was inedible. To sum up our dining experience, on the last day of the cruise we walked by the buffet area to get back to our room to see three groups of hazmat crew members cleaning vomit off the ground all over the dining area. The great thing about the buffet was that if you didn't enjoy your dinner, you can try it again there because the buffet was constantly made up from leftovers of meals from the last two days. I have never seen this before on any ship. The selections at dinner were the same. Turkey and Prime Rib were on the menu 4 out of the 7 nights, something else I have never seen. To get away from the bad food we coughed up the 20 bucks to go to Sabatinis. Same bad food, but you get an upgrade in service. After the bad service for most of the week, it was actually nice to have someone be able to remember and get our orders right and to be entertaining. Our server Luis in Sabatinis was more entertaining than other ship's two main shows Piano Man and Undercover put together.
