We were in suite #1268 on Deck 10. This was a beautiful suite. The only major problem in the room was the t.v. The satellite was out for the first 7 days so no news unless you used your Internet minutes to get it which took forever to log on, so it cost a fortune. There were also no computers in the concierge lounge as there are on other RC ships. The DVD player's remote could not be used so you had to manually get on the floor to use the player. Now, the t.v. itself. It froze constantly, you could not change the channel. After maintenance and the I.T. department visited us 9 times in 6 days, (yes 9 times) to unfreeze the t.v. we were told that the sensor was bad and they could not fix it. Then my husband started messing with it and found out how to unfreeze it. I let the cabin steward know for the next guest so that they could use the t.v. Also the hot water pot in the suite does not work. There was no soft serve yogurt machines in the windjammer as on other ships so you had to freeze to death to get any. No toppings either. The guest relations desk was always very crowded. We were charged for items from the mini bar which we did not use and they couldn't take it off. After discussing this with the mini bar crewman he said nothing was used from our cabin. This took 2 days to resolve. Only used the dining room once as it took way to long and the waiter forgot my husband's appetizer. Room service was excellent, as well as their staff. The ports visited were so good, as well as the tours. All of the guides were great. The last port of Naples, it took 1 hour to get back on the ship. I have never waited that long and people were very annoyed. The concierge, Diego was excellent. Everything I requested from him was taken care of. He even printed out my hometown newspaper for me to read. The food in the concierge lounge was excellent as was the staff. Our room steward I(Michael) had just transferred from another deck and did a great job. The ice show was fabulous and should not be missed. As was the Frankie Valli show. We didn't really care for the 2 cruise directors. They were too confusing to follow as one would speak in English, pause for the other to speak in another language, then continue. We decided to eat meals in port when we were docked as the Greek and Italian food was so good. In closing, this ship needs many repairs and a lot of the crew need to be nicer to the guests. Maybe because the ship is so large, and we are used to the smaller ones (Jewel of the seas, etc)who give great service. Would we go again. Yes for the itinerary, no not on this ship.
