Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony
Traveled with children

Travelled with 2 teenagers - had a balcony room for adults and a room across the hall for kids - they had a view of promenade deck 5 (the Mall). Rooms not small at all - plenty of closet space and drawer space. Balcony was worth the extra money if you like to watch the sunrise and sunset while drinking your morning coffee. Also great to dry wet clothes! We liked the 8th floor - very convenient to pool area (3 flights up) and Windjammer restaurant as well as fitness center. Also, only 3 floors down to promenade deck 5 where shopping, casinos, main dining room is.Food: I am very picky when it comes to food and have high expectations so here is my food review: Loved the Windjammer for all three meals....large selection of a variety of foods. Did not like the Main Dining room for dinner - food not very good - you can eat as much as you like but did not care for the selection or the quality. Small portions. Lobster tails were good. Service was wonderful! We did my time dining and had the same waitress each night.Loved the cafe on deck 5 - free coffee 24 hours and the best pastries, cookies, mini sandwiches - great to hold you over in between meals. Also a great place to people watch! Shows: Don't miss the ice show - you need tickets ahead of time so get in line early to get them. Line moves fast. Don't let the long line discourage you. The Farewell show (our last night) was entertaining. A comedian, singer, acrobatics - very good. What to pack: We packed way too much - Since this was our first cruise, we didn't know how much to pack but like everyone says, you don't need that many clothes. Pack more shorts and swim suits and less dressy outfits. Helpful tips: Bring clothes pins to hang wet clothes on balcony chairs or in bathroom. Bring an over the door shoe holder for odd items - You can purchase a plastic one in target/walmart. Also, a power strip if you plan on having chargers for electronics, hair dryer, curling iron, etc. Overall, a fantastic vacation - we are booking another one for next year spring break! Kids had a blast! Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.
