“Tremendous Value for money & good service too”

One of the attractions of this cruise was the local embarkation at Hull, a port so popular that this site doesn't list it as an option on the drop down menu.

This was our first 'cruise', although we had been on several expedition trips before and this was very much a means to an end in getting us up into Northern Norway to see the Lights. In the event, we were highly impressed by this ship, Cruise & Maritime's general ethos and approach and they will be top of our list when we next look to book a trip.

Ocean Countess: Not a new ship , not too big and our cabin was comfortable and certainly well looked after. Cleaning in general on this ship was of the highest standard. We even saw people cleaning grouting on floor tiles.

Food : we've been on several all inclusives where the food gets boring and samey. We never felt this way here and always thought there was plenty of choice at each eating establishment. If you wanted a bigger portion, the waiter would bring More it.

Entertainment : this was we guessed very traditional and aimed at oldere, more conservative cruisers. Although not to our taste, it seemed well done and the audience appeared to enjoy it.

Service: Can't complain at all here, everyone from top to bottom was attentive and helpful.

Price: We thought this was an excellent value for money trip. The Company provided shuttle buses whenever she docked at a pier out of town and we were able to get off quickly to explore each of the towns. We managed to see the Lights by climbing a local viewpoint and just waiting - glorious.

Overall : You get what you pay for and this was well worth it. Less
