Arrived at the Port at 11:45, sitting in Oceanside Cafe for lunch by 12:15. Embarkating was excellent. Had the same experience when at this location when embaking on a RCCL cruise. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Went as smooth as it could possibly go. Cabin-1083-Port side, forward. Concierge class(C1)-nice cabin but Concierge class is definitely not worth the extra money. Would never do it again. Really no true benefits, so don't waste your money. Nice bathroom. Small but very functional. Bed near closet, which was a little tight. Couch, which doubled as my DS bed for the week, was near the balcony door. This was a little inconvenient as I like to get up early to watch sunrise. Kept waking him up being that close to the balcony door, but not a major issue.Cabin steward-Denis, did a decent job. We noticed a purple stain, like from a squished grape, on the bathrug one day and put the mat on the pile of towels to be changed. We thought it was changed but then noticed that he had just turned the bathmat over to hide the stain. Room was always clean and organized and toiletries were always restocked. Only had a towel animal one day, which we told him our son loved, but that was it, just the one.Food-Oceanside cafe-good quality. Basically the same things for breakfast everyday. Very similar foods for lunch. Always found seating even when it was very busy. No problem with that at all, as I know some have mentioned that being a problem, but not for us. Main dining room-food was ok, not great and definitely not any better than any of the cruises we have been on. Actually, enjoyed the food we had on Costa and both of our RCCL cruises a little better then on the Eclipse. Bistro-Again, just ok. Not worth paying an extra $5.00. Did not like that we could not get lunch at Oceanside when we came back on the ship from St. Maarten due to the timing. I thought that was a little odd. Entertainment-Pool band-excellent. Really enjoyed listening to them Wish they were there more often and for longer periods. Acapella group-Sound Decision-excellent, really enjoyed them.Night shows-Magician-great,really liked him. Jordan Bennett-good. Performers for the shows were good, especially on the night of the "Circus" performances. That was a spectacular show. Comedian-awful. I have seen him on Comedy Central and turned him off. Basically did the same on the ship-walked out.Glass blowing Shows-Excellent. One of the highlights of the cruise for my DW and myself. Very interesting and great personalities that were very engaging.Disembarkationp-Left the cabin at 8:50 am, in the shuttle to get our rental car by 9:20. Very smooth. No complaints at all.Overall, a great cruise, but to be perfectly honest, no better then any of the other cruise experiences we have had with Carnival, Holland America, RCCL or Costa.
