New experience - admire dedication of cruise staff

Sail Date: March 2011
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Other

My husband and I travel quite a bit and are always looking for a new adventure. We had a marvelous time on our recent Bahama Celebration cruise and valued each effort that was made by the cruise staff to make our trip a happy one. The most outstanding component of the cruise was the wonderful young people who are employees of the cruise line. They are eager to please and so very accommodating. Their service was always with a smile and a desire to help.

The food was quite good and presented attractively. We enjoyed the variety of food items offered.

The movement of the ship through the water was very smooth and comfortable. By far the least motion we've ever experienced on board a ship.

My husband needed assistance with a C-Pap machine for sleeping. We did not have the proper adaptation for the electrical current on the ship. One call and our need was addressed in less than 15 minutes.

Due to family illness we had to reschedule our trip from fall of More 2010 to March of 2011. The cruise line worked with us and allowed this change with minimal communication and NO charges as it was a health emergency.

We truly admire the nation of the Bahamas for its creativity in bringing tourist to their islands in an affordable way.

We hope you have many years of success. Less

Cabin review: Bahamas Celebration

Cabin was a little small but we never stay in our room anyway. There was ample space for the two of us. The bed was not the most comfortable and could use better linen and a thicker mattress.

Port and Shore Excursions

The beautiful Lucaya Resort in Grand Bahama was a wonderful, relaxing two day vacation for us. The swimming pools are so inviting with graceful designs, comfortable lounge chairs and pool side service. The ocean is beyond description with calm turquoise waters and activities to meet all levels of fun.

Our room was large, comfortable, and luxurious.

We took part in two tours while on the island and were very please with both of them.

The people of the Bahamas are friendly, beautiful and helped us "slow down."
