Ok lets start with the pluses of our cruise. The ship itself is wonderful...absolutely top notch and so was the entertainment...much better than other cruises I have been on. Our rooms, although one of the cheapest on the boat, were fantastic as well with a cool little electronic port hole feature that lets you actually see outside of the boat as if you had a real port hole...and every once in a while Disney characters would show up in the scene adding to the Disney magic. This was very cool. Stateroom guy was very nice and did a great job. Castaway Cay was awesome....it made up for a miserable Bahamas location...it was a refreshing escape from panhandlers and trashy streets/buildings of the Bahamas. The Disney Island was a HUGE plus with lots of stuff to do! Ok, now the part that Disney got wrong....really wrong...THE FOOD!...The buffet section for food was decent and the poolside selection of food was ok but the sitdown dinners (although the Dining rooms were beautiful) were the worst of any cruise I have taken (Royal Carribean and Carnival were others). The portions were so small and the choices of food were limited to 1 or 2 decent things a night and the rest of your choices unappealing. NOT ONE MEAL STOOD OUT AS A "DANG NOW THAT WAS GOOD!!" meal. Every other cruise I have been on I have walked away from the table licking my chops at the oportunity to quickly return to another mouthwatering meal. NOT ON THE DREAM. FOOD WAS A NIGHTMARE. While our assistant waiter was helpful the main server was discourteous when asking for anything extra and always made you feel rushed or as if you were being bothersome. This was particularly maddening when your portions were so small you had to ask for additional food just to appease your appetite. If you believe it, one night we ordered steak and lobster and were actually served two quarter sized wafers of "lobster" to go along with our paperweight steak. Obviously people are gonna want another one of these (not so much for the taste but the small size)so the servers need to be ready for people to order more...that or start off with bigger servings of better food in the first place. Main Pool was way too crowded and too kiddy pool oriented...I got the feeling I was at the kiddy wavepool of a seriously overcrowded waterpark...but what do you expect it is Disney right?...The line to the fun looking glass waterslide was so freeking long that I never had a chance to get on it....Now THAT (long line) was Disney-like. They did have an adult pool but it was boring and small with no fun atmosphere...hey Disney, mix in a few steel drummers out there for us adults to jam with while we are all crammed into a 20 x 8 foot pool. Then we may drink a little more and forget how bad the food in the dining halls was....
