Really enjoyed the Majesty. A lovely lady.: Majesty of the Seas Cruise Review by sageandlouie

Really enjoyed the Majesty. A lovely lady.
We've liked Carnival, our cruises have all been satisfactory. The biggest difference in these two is that I could see, was Carnival tends to lean to the casual, athletic, and probably has more of an appeal for students and families w/kids; RC is a more formal atmosphere, with an elegance that Carnival does not have. The decor on RC is easy on the eyes and has a warm, comfortably lovely ambiance.
Our only real disappointment was RC's food places shutting down by 10:30 pm or so. Way, way, too early for a weekend of excitement, folks having a great time and not ready to call it quits before midnight. At least Carnival has their pizza available 24 hours. After having a great time More in the casino, we were hungry again, but NOTHING was open, no food -- unless we wanted to order from their limited room service selections, PLUS pay a fee to have it delivered to the room after midnight.
Early dining in the Starlight was a fine experience. Efficient waiters -- Jonathan and Vladamir -- were friendly, fun, but yet professional. The food was appealing and really quite flavorful.
We will definitely go again -- and on the Majesty -- she is lovely and inviting. Made for a wonderful weekend getaway. I've read some customer reviews about her being 'dated'? I surely didn't see that at all. Other than her being somewhat smaller than the newer ones, I tho't she was practically perfect. She's been well taken care of, tastefully decorated, easy to get around her, and made for quiet, easy cruising. Her staff go out of their way to be friendly over the entire ship, are extremely efficient and work hard to give everyone a wonderful time while aboard her. I don't know what more we could ask for...other than more opportunities at some food!!!! Hah!
Yes, she will see us again...as will Royal Caribbean. We'll be back. Less
Cabin review: JS1548 Junior Suite
Extremely comfortable; smaller than Carnival's Jr Ste, but quite satisfactory. We always choose a suite not only because of its larger size, but also for the option of a bathtub. Most of Carnival's JS have jetted tubs, Majesty's wasn't. Loved the sliding glass door onto the balcony over a smaller, regular type door. Colors in the room very pleasant, as well as the art work on the walls. A nice, lovely room. We'll do it again.Read All Junior Suite (JS) Reviews >>
