My wife and I traveled from Boston to New York for our week long cruise from New York to Nassau with stops in Florida (Coco Beach), and their private Island of Great Stirrup Bay. We took the Amtrak train from Boston to New York ($49) each and it was a very nice trip not having to worry about driving and then parking in the City. We went to New York on Friday - a day early- and stayed at the Marriot in Times Square, taking in the Show "Memphis" - Both are highly recommended. We walked the City on Saturday morning- it was quite cool - then checked out and proceeded to the ship. The cab fare is @$6.00. Upon arriving at the terminal, our luggage was taken with no delay by NCL rep. We proceeded to the check-in area, which at 2:30 I was a bit surprised with the large number of people still needed to register. This process moved along and was through in about 20 minutes. Our cabin was ready upon our arrival and we had a very nice cabin steward" Joseph" who took great care of us all week. Some general comments:Food - overall was very good, we did not use the specialty restaurants, as one needs to realize that other than the oriental rest. and the steak house - all on the food is prepared in the same area.Entertainment - the shows were very good, with a good mix of showtime, comedy and dancing.Bingo - one of my pet peeves is the very poor payouts at Bingo. The Ship takes @50% of the bingo money, then splits it, as well as carries some over to the last day coverall -The Casino - or Smokey Heaven - is well run, but they need to install some serious heavy duty smoke eaters. After spending a few hours there, your stink of smoke from head to toe. If you won or lost, you still smell!! We found the slot payouts were fair, and overall ti was run very well. The stops along the way offered a variety of things to do. Unless it is a special trip, we usually just get off and walk around the local area. If you want to keep it cheap, take the shuttle for $6 which takes you around to the local areas of Coco Beach. The stop at Great Stirrup Bay is a day at the beach, with the chairs, cookout. etc. A lot to do if you are a beach goer. The highlight of the trip for us was Nassau. You can take some excursions set up by NCL or for $4 - take the shuttle over to the "Atlantis" resort area. In addition to the hotel, it has a casino, and a very nice beach area. Also a very up-scale shopping area around the in the hotel area.Debarkation with NCL is one of its greatest areas - unless you need help with your luggage, the easy walk-off program is the best to select. You will be able to leave no later than 8:30amOverall, we had a very nice time, and we certainly rec. NCL as we have gone some 6 times before.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Cabin IB

As with inside cabins on a cruise ship, if you have trouble getting around, or tend to be person who has a weight problem, you might find getting around in the cabin and especially the bathroom a little bit of a challenge.
