This was DH and my first time cruising but were fortunate enough to be accompanied by another couple that had 4 previous cruises under their belt. They certainly assisted in navigating through the unknown aspects of this vacation. We sailed from San Juan, PR and found the boarding to be systematic and fluid. We had no issues having pre-printed our SeaPass info from home. Upon arrival on the gangway, we were impressed with the size of the ship and the friendliness of the staff. Our room was well-appointed and the balcony was a plus. Would not sail without one from now on. We had coffee and watched the sunrise in the mornings on the balcony. What an inspiring sight! Our room steward, Walter, was kind and attentive. (Loved coming in from dinner each evening to see which towel animal we would see that night)We had late dining, 8:30 PM, which was ideal for us. We were able to go on some great excursions, return to the ship, relax a bit and then get prepared for the evening. The meals were delicious. Our waiters, Macallister and Luis, were very attentive and personable. we enjoyed laughing with them every night. Even when we decided to have breakfast and/or lunch in the MDR, if either of them were on duty, they made a point of coming over to where we were seated, just to say hello and check on us. This was customer service plus! We enjoyed the musical entertainment each night after dinner and the casino called us in daily. No blockbuster wins, but enough to make you return the next day. Disembarking was probably the most difficult part of the cruise, only because we didn't want our adventure to end. We found everyone on Royal Caribbean to be extremely friendly, service oriented and anxious to make our vacation one to remember!Loved it so much, we are booking one for next year, same ship, different islands in the southern Caribbean. "Our waiters said they would be on that sailing, so hoping to see them again:)It was wonderful to have met all the folks we had been corresponding with on our Roll Call. We had an unofficial meeting on Sunday at the Pool Bar when we boarded and were able to identify each other by the leis we were wearing. The official "M and M" on Monday was fun and we made some great acquaintances. We will try to keep in touch and possibly cruise together again!
