We have just returned from our second Azamara Cruise, this time to the Caribbean on Journey, having been on the Quest on the Best of Italy cruise two years ago.Yet again we had a fantastic cruise with Azamara with the highlights being the itinerary, the crew and the food. We enjoyed the islands we visited and only had one change when the seas meant we couldn't tender at Virgin Gorda but were able to dock at Tortola instead. As everyone says the officers and crew were outstanding - very visible, friendly and helpful. The food, as before, was excellent. We dined twice at Aqualina which has to be our favourite restaurant. This time we ate in Windows on five of the nights as we loved eating out under the stars on the back deck and the live cooking stations were great. Discoveries was more inconsistent - we had great meals there but we also had one meal which was not good and was also served very slowly and arrived cold. Apart from this one evening, everything else was fantastic. The staterooms are not large but we find them very comfortable and well equipped. We hope that when they do the refit next year, they will replace the balcony chairs with those we have seen on other ships with higher reclining backs as we spend quite a lot of time on our balcony. We look forward to another cruise on the Azamara Quest later in the year.
6026 very convenient location near the lifts and stairs. Very quiet.
