Embarkation - Me and my wife got there at 1:30pm. The check-in process was quick and efficient. There was waiting for my room to be ready so we dropped off our bags and went straight to the buffet for lunch.Dining Experience - We mostly stuck to eating at Horizons/Cafe Caribe. The staff was very friendly at these locations. Enrique (from the Philippines) from Horizons/Cafe Caribe is a great server, very attentive and friendly. The food was not great but enjoyable nonetheless. Depending on the time, the lines for the buffet in Horizons can be cluttered. Escpecially in the morning when people stand in line to wait for their omelette orders to be completed. This caused a bottleneck in the line and you had to really do some ballet moves in order for your plate not to be knocked down by the crowd. We tried the main dining room (we did anytime dining at Michaleangelo) on our second night and did not like the experience. The head waiter was so focused on selling bar items that he did not really listen to what we want to order. At one point, he even gave a sarcastic remark about sugar when my wife asked if they had sweet tea. I was given attitude when I told him I did not want specialty coffees and just wanted desert that came with the dinner. Other than the Lobster Night, we did not go back to the main dining rooms.Nightlife - DJ Rock It in Skywalkers should not really be called a DJ, all he did was take requests, push buttons on his DJ machine and let it do all the work. At one point he even stopped the music because someone took his request pad and he asked it to be brought back. He also stepped away every 15 minutes or so. Good thing his DJ machine had autopilot. (I just had to mention this since me and the wife like to enjoy the nightlife scene once in a while being so close to Miami Beach).Cabin - We had a basic inside cabin. Our attendant Joselito was great! Really friendly and attentive.Entertainment - The shows are ok from the the Princess Theater. I enjoyed the Broadway Show. Stardust was not really as good (not my type of music, it was from the 50's). The final show had great visuals but not really out of this world. We did lots of BINGO. Dan, Lisa Ball's (cruise director) assistant was funny. Make sure to catch the International Crew's Show (it had great moments and really shows off some of the crew's talents)Ports - We skipped Princess Cay due to the conditions (water was very choppy the first few nights). St. Maarten had $1 beers! We hired a tour guide at the port and saved some money compared to the ship. The beach is ok. St. Thomas, we took a cab to Megan's Bay and spent the day there. Very relaxing, and since jet skis are not allowed, it was nice and quiet. Grand Turk, the beach by Margaritaville was amazing for snorkelling. Souvenir shopping is better at St. Maarten's. We found prices at Grand Turk to be higher. Did not have time to shop at St. Thomas.Overall - it was a great cruise to get away from work and city life. Crew was friendly for the most part. Beaches were great as well as the weather. Nightlife could be better on board the ship. Would have loved to see Princess Cays though. Good chance we will board Princess again in future cruises.
