Sail Date: Dec 2004

My husband and I booked this Christmas cruise with high hopes of a stress-free holiday. Overall, we had a really nice time. This was our fourth cruise.

First, a little background...my husband and I are in our 30's and enjoy the cruising concept. Our first cruise was on RCI's Adventure of the Seas (7 night Caribbean). We have also sailed Carnival's Fascination (3 night Bahamas) as well as Celebrity's Constellation (13 night Transatlantic). I will make small comparisons for this review.

Embarkation: Pretty simple. We arrived at the Fort Lauderdale airport (quite late due to a delay at our home airport in Pittsburgh). There were several Celebrity staff awaiting and we checked in with them. They were very nice and gave us instructions before boarding the bus to the ship. We gathered our luggage, waited on a few more people to arrive and were off to the ship. Since it was late in the afternoon and the ship took off at 4:30 p.m., we didn't have to wait to check in. As we boarded, Celebrity staff greeted us with champagne, took our bags and showed us to our rooms. I was rather impressed. Very nice.
