My husband(39) and I(36) have been on 3 cruises Princess, RCCL and then now Carnival, We really liked Princess and RCCL, but we won't be going on Carnival again. We were on the carnival glory. Dining - I actually gained about 7 pds on the other 2 cruises and this cruise only 1 pd and I weigh 130. The ice cream had hardly a taste. The hamburgers were not good at the grill the lunch buffet was not good, I actually went through the lunch buffet line on 2 separate days, waited in line a long time; because nothing is separated, and did not put 1 thing on my plate, that is pretty sad. The breakfast buffet was not good I ended up eating lucky charms on the first 2 days and cinnamon toast crunch on the next 2 days, and then they didn't offer them the next 3 days. Why ?? And I know exactly why a bunch of people get sick on cruises, its because people in the buffet lines eat and lick their fingers in the buffet line , and I actually saw people moving the tongs over and just reaching their hands right in, yuck. Dinner buffet was a little better but not much, some of the items on the main dining room menu were on the buffet. The main dining room food was just ok, but it was ruined by the tables for 2 being 8 inches apart, you couldn't even get into your seat without moving the table first, then you sat down and everything you said your neighbors could hear and vice versa - not romantic. So that happened about 3 times when we went into the dining room at 5:45, then the 4th day the hostess sat us by the stairs which it was a table all be itself, great make sure you request it. I must say the lobster was good my husband ordered 2 and the chocolate melting cake delicious, but it got old after the 4th day, because there really wasn't anything else to order. Deli - ham and cheese good, pepperoni pizza good.Entertainment was good but there really wasn't much to see - the Amber Palace had the same show at 2 different times, and then almost everything else was comedy shows. In the Amber palace one night while a great show was going on teenagers kept running up and down the aisles back and forth, about 4 or 5 times. The Casino really smelled of heavy smoke everyday. The layout of the ship is very strange. We found out about the 4th day just walk through the dining rooms to get to the other side, you will understand if you ever go on the Glory.Chairs out on the decks filled up really quick on sea days if you weren't out there by 9:30 forget it, and then Carnival had activities going on like a blackjack tournament, poker tournament, the shopping in port talks, but all of these were over by 3, and if you got up to do any of these things you would lose your chair. But then at 3 till around 7 there was nothing to do unless you wanted to buy a $20 bingo card. Then they had a nice band playing out by the pool, and the people sitting next to us decided to play their radio over the band. What !! Then they had to talk to each other very loud so they could hear each other. It was very rude.We had a balcony room which I would like to say it was nice but upon arrival our toilet had a black rim around it and black specs floating in it, it was like this the whole cruise, every time you flushed the black specs came back. The room stewart tried to get it to come off but it wouldn't - then my husband grabbed the toilet scrubber (yuck) and tried. O 'well what are you going to do ?? Then we looked at the bed and there was about 6 long hairs and lint in the sheets, so we asked the room stewart to change them, which he did no problem. ( I am pretty sure they were freshly washed, but the person making the bed must of got the hair on the bed) Ok so now that the bed had good sheets it was ready to go out on our balcony, well we sat out there and the people in the balcony next to us were out there drinking and saying foul language, and spitting over the edge, which is gross because there are balconys below. Then every morning I woke up and went to sit on our balcony and the neighbors were out there hacking up a storm, so I ended up slamming the door every morning. Our shower never got hot water just lukewarm, and sometimes just cold, I hated it because I took 2 showers a day.The first 3 days I could really feel the ship moving and It made dizzy and my stomach hurt, but then I was fine I must have got use to it.There was automatic antibacterial stations every were but hardly anyone was using them, just the kids were running around flinging the antibacterial gel every where, on the floor, it hit me a couple of times, where are the parents ??Nassau took taxi over to Atlantis $10 waited 2 minutes for a full van then we were on our way, Atlantis very nice but you only could see their casino(table games open at 10), everything else you had to pay for even to see the hotel lobby, beach, gift shops, everywhere there were employees saying you needed a room key. Walk around Atlantis to the Marina very nice area shops restaurants, million dollar boats just beautiful. Then took taxi back waited 5 minutes for a full van then back on ship.St Thomas - beautiful great great shopping right there off the ship I think there was 6 big buildings, good prices and nobody pressured us to buy anything. Did the St John snorkel tour and it was wonderful but just so you know it said you would have 1 ½ to snorkel we only had 55 minutes. Beautiful beach.San Juan - we did the Puerto Rico favorites tour this was a great tour, and at the end you had the option to go shopping or be taken back to the ship we chose to shop and walk back to the ship (8 minute)There was about 20 people on our bus and we all decided to shop. About 100 shops right next to the fort. Ate lunch at Taco Maker - best thing we ate all week HAHA.Grand Turk - beautiful beach about a dozen shops, very nice relaxing day, we just snorkled, layed out on the beach and shopped great port.Make sure you bring a jacket if you want to watch a movie at night it gets very chilly up there. On the 2nd to the last day I told my husband to go down to the Cruise Desk and buy transfer tickets back to the Miami airport. The guy he spook with said you don't want to wait for the bus to fill up - just take a taxi. I thought this was very strange. So a couple hours later I went to the cruise desk and asked the lady and she said sure would you like to buy 2 for $32. I am confused. We ended up taking a taxi. Now the good things - we are back home. HAHA. The transfer to the port of Miami was great we pre arranged it through Carnival. Once at the port there were hundreds of people in line, but it was very well run, and we were on the ship within 30 minutes. The cruise Director very nice and involved. Balcony room had lots of counter, closet and shelf space. Room Stewart very nice, workout room great, steam room great. Debarkation ran very smooth we were in category 19 and off the ship and at the airport at 9:30, we took a taxi cost was $25.
