We have sailed on NCL, Carnival, Holland America and Royal Caribbean- some more than once. We had heard wonderful things about Princess and were so excited about this, our ninth cruise. The embarkation was amazing- disembarkation efficient and well done. Unfortunately the experience in between........the cruise itself, was disappointing.

My husband (45), myself( 42) and our two kids ages 13 and 18. all felt the food was lackluster. We often ended up eating at the grill although we usually don't eat burgers and pizza. With the exception of Denise and Gavin the cruise staff seemed burned out and contemptuous of the passengers (especially the teens). The "teens" program for ages 13-17 often did not offer the programs listed on the itinerary- so after a few attempts we quit trying (plus, what 17 year old wants to hang out with 13 year olds and vice-versa?).

The entertainment was good. We especially enjoyed Bert Stratton- FIND HIM -YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!!!!! My son who always enjoys playing BINGO with his Dad, far preferred the horse races.
