Port Day 2 we did the clear bottom kayak and snorkeling. Both activities were fun, but it was difficult to see anything while kayaking and water was really cold for snorkeling 64 degrees. Water was fairly cloudy as well. I enjoyed it because there were plenty of fish to see, but the water was just not the best that I have experienced. I hope this is helpful.
The crew on the boat were awesome. They made fresh guacamole and salsa and free drinks. They took our picture with the Land's End landmark behind us and they were just super hosts on the boat. The girls name was Olympia. She was very helpful and seemed very concerned about making sure we had a good time.
The only thing I didn't care for was that they dropped us off on the other side of the Marina and we had to walk back to where you catch the tenders back out to the cruise boat which took about 25 minutes. If it would have been really hot out, it would have been miserable. So if you are going in the middle of the summer, please keep this in mind.
T-shirts were really cheap here. We got really nice collared shirts for only 10 dollars and regular T-shirts for 7-8 dollars.
We also stopped downtown and shopped at some of the local stores and street vendors. You can buy the same jewelry here as you can from the guy out at Yalapa at a better price. Necklaces run about 8 dollars in La Paz
We also stopped at a pottery shop where they make high end clay fired pottery. The tour guide was from that same area of town so I think maybe they had something going on, but it was very interesting and we did buy some very nice coffee mugs and lovely turtles.
The reason I gave this excursion a 3 was because it was a 2 hour boat ride each way. So if you like sailing, you may like it, but for me, I did not enjoy it.
