Ship Facts: Carnival Glory Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Glory Deck Plans
Carnival Glory - Eastern Caribbean
This will be a review of pros and cons real simple and brief.

Pros: The Glory is a nice ship, very clean, the room service was the best we have ever encountered in 22 cruises. The cabins were great we had two cabins on Empress deck -- one balcony suite and one balcony both very nice. Valet laundry service very good. Hamburgers at the grill excellent. Fish and chips good. Ice cream and yogurt good as always on Carnival.

Comedians on board for this cruise very good. Special guest entertainer Marcus Anthony from St. Thomas was a true real pro entertainer great singer etc.

Ports of call all good {see Nassau comment in cons dept of this review}.

Summary of pros the ship was nice new clean with some fun things to do and pluses.

Cons: The very worst Cruise Director in our 22 cruises on 5 different cruise lines. Overall service was a 5 on a 1 to 10 scale {noted exception was room service which was great].

Entertainment reference to Carnival show staff and production was a 6 out of 10. Main dining rom service and food was mediocre 5 at best. Special reservation dining was very over rated, service was ok but food was a 5 at best. Redsail on Lido deck was a 7 out of 10 in the food dept. Ship layout is a 7. Nassau note:Carnival doesn't stay there long enough -- needs to change time of arrival and make last port of call less time at sea. Glory's Cruise Director kept us all bored with two days at sea after St. Maarten.

Summary of cons: Cruise Director the worst, food very mediocre, service ok, shows very average.

Special Note: Embark was not bad at Port Canaveral. Disembark was normal not any better or worse then any other. Arcade is very good -- one of the best for my two teenagers. Open space was good on the ship. Casino was also good. Purser's staff very rude and slow -- need to learn about customer service. I will not travel Carnival again because of the rudeness of Purser's staff even after complaining to Chief Purser. He was just as rude and covered up their mistakes. Staff of the whole ship didn't seem happy.
