cruised southeastern Caribbean on Serenade from 26/02 to 05/03. Second cruise for Kara and I, previous on Grand Princess 2 years ago. Group of 8 - 4 first timers and 4 with previous experiences. Precruise flew USAir into San Juan and stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan - we thought the hotel was quite overpriced although the location was quite nice. Spent 2 days shopping and touring Old San Juan

embarkation onto Serenade was relatively painless - 30 minutes from taxi to cabin. Overall impression through the week was that Serenade was a very well run ship -- clean, pleasant crew, nicely laid out, lots of activities. Slightly smaller ship than our previous experience - never found it crowded

stayed in a standard balcony stateroom - very clean and quite adequate, room attendant Aaron was friendly and always available -- previous cruise with Princess there was a wide assortment of toiletries that were replaced daily. On RCI a plastic shampoo pump was all there was

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

cabin closet not deep enough, shirts/jackets would get caught in hinge -- door difficult to latch properly -- shower head leaked badly -- no toiletries other than a plastic shampoo pump
