Ship Facts: Majesty of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Majesty of the Seas Deck Plans
Majesty of the Seas Bahamas 3/7/11
First time cruising. Arrived a day earlier and stayed overnight in Miami.

Boarding: Arrived around 130pm and was onboard by 2pm. Upon arriving, really smooth and easy to find your way around. Everyone was really pleasant and helpful. Our stateroom was ready when we got there and luggage arrived a couple hours after.

On board: Read that this was an older ship but since it was my first time cruising, it had nothing else to compare it to. It's a gorgeous ship. Rooms are small but that was expected. Everything was in excellent condition and VERY clean. The employees were so helpful and extremely pleasant. The onboard activities were good. The Dance troupe though was kinda cheesy. The Cruise Director though was great and made our trip even that much more fun. It seems like they had a party about everynight too so that was fun.

Food: I was really satisfied with the quality and food selection in the buffet. The food in the main dining room was also very good. And again the service was great. Drinks were great tasting too.

Ports: Key West: it was just ok. There didn't seem to be much to do. The shipped arrived at approx 8am so just about every store was closed. Walked the entire length of the island and was done by noon. Glad I did it once but wouldn't come back.

Nassau: Heard from others that this place is a dump. Having already traveled outside of the United States, there was nothing out of the ordinary for me. Went to the beach as soon as we got there and it was amazing. Did the banana boat for $10. Left after a few hours then off to the Atlantis for dinner.

Cococay: Now this place left me speechless. Its scenery straight out of a movie. Crystal clear turquoise waters and white sand beaches. Perfect relaxing day and Royal Caribbean provided great food for us on the island. Tip: Although there are a few shops here, do your shopping at Nassau. Stuff is more expensive on Cococay and no haggling. Whereas in Nassau, you can haggle your price.

Departure: Since our plane left late in the afternoon, we asked for the latest departure off the ship possible. They were able to accommodate us with no problem. No issues with our bill at the end of the trip and we were able to close out our account quite quickly the night before.
