Great 1st cruise on MAJESTY of THE SEAS!!

Sail Date: February 2011
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Miami

This was our 1st cruise and we were afraid of not liking the lifestyle, we loved it !!! We are totally cruise people now.

We had a great time on the Majesty of the Seas, the staff was really friendly and helpful all the time. Our stateroom was small but very clean and comfortable. The food in general was really good and I was amazed that it was never crowded anywhere but the cruise was at full capacity.

There was stuff to do at any time of the day and night, shows, dances, live music, bingo, games, competitions, quiet places to be alone and in our stateroom we could barely hear any noises.

I would say that the only bad thing is that the AC was really cold at the common areas, it's a summer vacation you are not supposed to feel cold on the cruise!!

Prices for drinks were fair enough, cheaper than any other place we have vacationed.

We visited key west and Nassau, couldn't make it to Cococay cause the bad weather. Nevertheless we bought a More day pass for the Atlantic in Nassau and we had a great time enjoying the aquarium, the beaches, pools and water games. Less

Cabin review: Majesty of the Seas Oceanview Stateroom Deck 4 6090

Our stateroom was in an excellent location, floor 6 near the elevators. Near the center part of the ship, but incredible that we couldn't hear any noises and we did take anytime naps during the day. We really enjoyed our stateroom, it was small compared to a normal hotel but it was cosy and very clean. The bathroom was really small, you can get 2 persons at the same time there. Nevertheless we didn't have any problems during our vacations.

Port and Shore Excursions

Key West is a beautiful place to visit, very clean and organized. Getting to land and onboard was always very quick with no lines or delays.

We bought our trolley tour ticket directly in the port and it worked great and at a good price (usd 20 each 2 days).

We didn't find so nice the beach in Key West, the windy day didn't help but the water didn't look so nice. The algae crowded along the coastline were pretty disgusting and the smell was bad.

Boarding was fast and easy, much faster than any airplane check in and boarding. Everybody was very helpful and in less than 15 minutes we were aboard knowing our ship.

The bus and shuttle lanes were very organized and never crowded, we arrived to port at noon (departure was at 5pm) thinking it would take a while to get onboard, we were wrong.

Nassau port seemed very unorganized while receiving more than 2 ships, we had long lines and the place looked very filthy. The same with the streets downtown and near the straw market.

We did not like Nassau, but we loved the Atlantis resort, it was like a different world on Paradise Island. I would recommend everyone to buy a day pass and spend your time visiting that place, you won't regret it.
