The destination was Epic
We're seasoned cruisers/travelers - having been to 50 countries on 6 continents - and were really looking foward to our Epic cruise. As usual, we arrived on the Port of Miami two days before the cruise (you can't trust Feburary weather) - stayed at the Embassy Suites Miami airport - great breakfast and managers reception included.

Embarkation was a breeze - let the hotel at 11:07 am (25 minute ride to the cruise terminal) and were eating lunch in the Epic Club resturant at 11:47 am.

Did I mention we book suites on NCL for the special perks.

After 9 NCL cruises, we have discovered what really makes NCL standout from other lines (in our opinion). Their ships are bright and colorful, there are lots and lots of dining and entertainment options and the itenaries are as good as any. However, it's their people - crew members - that really continue to make our experiences very special. We had Courtyard privileges for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everyone up there did, their best to spoil us - and it worked.

Hostesses, Ramona and Reyhana, wait staff Ketut, Masami,Gabrella, Marisel, Frances all all the others were friendly, funny, careing, coversational and attentive. Even one of the Chefs (Komango) came out to our table twice to check on us. 1st time ever to visit with a Chef.

Our concierge was Ruth and did an outstanding job - effortlessly. Our butler was Akhmad and always there when we needed him. Lea was our stateroom stewardess and a magician - appearing like magic.

The ships officers were also very interested in our on board experiences. Dennis, Hotel Director, Martin, Restaurant Manager, Simon, Entertainment Director, Paul, Cruise Director and many others were very approachable. All the crew made us feel special.

We ate in Shanghai and Le Bistro - excellent service and food as usual - rack of lamb to die for. All the meals in the Epic Club restaurant were excellent.

The Garden Cafe was wonderful - great smells and super tastes.

Blue Man group not to our tastes - we walked out - our 13 year old grandson would have liked them. Cirque Dreams was super - lots of talent in a small space and witty comic lines - and the dinner was very good. Legends very very good - especially the backup troop.

Disembarkation was also a breeze - walked out of the Concierge are at 8:00 and and stepped on our bus to the airport at 8:07. Couldn't have been better.

All in all, something for all tastes and way too much to see and do in 7 days. We'll be back on NCL again very soon - Star and Epic booked in the future.
