We have traveled various cruise lines and really enjoy Royal Caribbean, We just got back from a cruise on the Allure of the Seas and we couldn't be happier. The ship is beyond description. We have been looking for an experience that would take our breadth away like the the first time we cruised. This did it. Our suite was incredible. We looked down from our balcony and viewed the boardwalk. We looked up and the zip line was right there. We looked to the left and we could see the ocean as a back drop to the aqua-theater. The service on the ship was terrific. Everyone did their best to make this cruise our best. We found the food to be good and we loved the many eating places besides the Windjammer. One of our favorites was the Park Cafe where you could get an individually made salad and terrific small roast beef sandwiches. We also had a great time on the following excursion
Labadee is Royal Caribbean's private island. An excursion you cannot miss is visiting Labadee's Haitian Cultural Tour at Paradise Cove. We have been there two times. Once by ourselves and once with friends. Our friends and my wife and I can't wait to go back. There is magic at this place. The scenery is beautiful and the beach is wonderful. The cultural tour on the island is very informative and fun. Sitting on the beach looking at the water and the mountains is breathtaking. Lying down on a floating lounge chair in the water is so relaxing, but, it's more than all that. I can't describe the zone I'm in when I'm there. It is so peaceful and beautiful that you never want that feeling to go away. I am so glad we found this excursion and will always go back. The guides on this excursion go out of their way to make this excursion a highlight of your trip.
The biggest surprise on this ship is that I thought that with so many people on board, that ship would be very crowded. The ship is so big that people are really spread out and is actually less crowded than any other ship we have been on. That really surprised us. We had a great time.
Loved our cabin on the 14th deck over looking the Aqua-theater. We especially loved the isolated deck at the end of the hall where 5 or 6 lounge chairs were set up. It was like our own private deck. What a nice touch! the bathroom was fine and the room was very adequate for the two of us. I thought it was even bigger than most.
