What a horrible experience.

This ship was once a American ferry and is in need of a total make over. I was expecting something nice as I had been told there had been a make over in Nov 2010. The crew told us there had been millions spent on the engines but not the cabins. The cabin was tiny and we had to share our deck with the crew, they were coming and going all night, I had to go out in the middle of the night to tell them to shut up! The make over in my opinion, was NOT were it is most needed in the area of the accommodation. It was the worst accommodation I have had ever experienced. The bedding was smelly, I had to ask for it to be replaced. The bed cover was so smelly that I wouldn't use it, the sheets were so old and thin I could see the mattress easily. The carpets were stained and tread bare in places. The ship is run down and tired. The cabin sink plug didn't work (my husband found it hard to shave) the shower leaked and hard to control I almost got burnt, the TV was very old and the TV control was broken, the curtains were tatty, the walls were marked and stained and the walls are paper thin. Some of the towels were stained. We looked at other rooms which were of the same standard, a few of the balcony rooms have new carpet (lucky for them).

The Island escape is in a sad way. I couldn't wait to get off.

Cabin Review

Tiny, noisy, accross from the crew, scruffy and in need of a make over. Very worn and lost of repairs needed.
