Relaxing in the Caribbean
We booked an 11 day and a 10 day southern Caribbean cruise to get away from winter and relax.Unlike destination cruises e.g. Europe we called this a no brainer. Most of the ports were repeats so we would get off the ship, walk around the shops and go back and relax on the empty ship. We went to a few beaches by taxi. didn't need to book expensive ship excursions for that.
We booked an inside room which is nice and dark for good sleeping.
Food was great as always. We got a free dinner in the speciality restaurant for booking a future cruise onboard. While the service was outstanding and the food excellent, would never spend extra money to eat on a cruise.
On the second half,we became Elite members in the captain's club. Really enjoyed those perks especially the coffee bar in the morning and the cocktail hour in the late afternoon. Just wish that was scheduled later in the day.We had 8:30 dinner and found it hard to kill time between drinks and dinner. Would More usually wander into casino and lose.
Overall, we had a wonderful, very relaxing time and wish we were back on the ship. Less
