Have taken about 10 Princess cruises and this one left a lot to be desired. The cruise hosts/hostesses were no where to be seen to ask and see if you were enjoying yourself. As well, no attendants for the pool areas were around, cleaning up towels that were used to save unused chairs, cleaning water to prevent slipping on the deck/stairs etc. No regulation of smoking rules. No towels available at pools. It should not be necessary to bring one from your room - perhaps this might be a way of controlling chair saving.
The change in eating times made the lineups for eating and for the shows intolerable. It is not necessary to go 45-60 minutes before a show to get a seat. When the times were changed back to 7:00 and 9:00pm, it was much improved. Perhaps the time has come to issue tickets and specific seats for a show to prevent having to go early, to prevent seat saving and allow one to finish eating without getting indigestion worrying about a line up for a show, or getting a seat.
The waiters in the Horizon Court and Caribe Buffet had to be prodded too often to get a table cleaned up,or to bring a drink etc. They spend too much time near the serving tables chatting with each other and not paying attention. Again, there is a complete lack of officer or maitre d' supervision in the dining areas.
Great cabin - close to coffee, no one walking by .... first time at stern, overlooking the wake. The balcony was huge with a wrap around view. There were four chairs on the balcony. A bit more motion being at the stern but not much more. Constant noise of wake was very soothing. Close to small Terrace Pool where most of our time was spent.
