This was my 6th cruise so I do have some experience. I have been on Carnival twice Princess twice, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. We sailed with Carnival last year out of San Juan and were impressed so we decided to go with Carnival again. Cruise was cheap, with 3 of us in an ocean view room it ended up being less then $400. Decent price for what you are getting. Was this the best cruise? No definitely not but I don't want to bash it by any means.

The high points, the ocean view rooms were bigger then inside rooms, pretty spacious for 3 adults. Our room steward was really nice and did a great job. Our servers were good, on top of things always got us what we needed. The itinerary was good, it was nice to have at sea days both the first and last day with the two stops in the middle. Weather was great in Mexico and for the majority of the at sea days. Going out of NOLA has it's good and bad points. This wasn't the most organized smooth port we have sailed out of. Was nice to see a new city since I had never been there. We stayed at Harrah's night before. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

The first thing I noticed when we got on the ship was that there were a lot of kids. This was the first cruise I have ever really noticed them and I did right off the bat. The crowd was a bit young as well. A lot of people in their 20's.
