We sailed on the 12/11/04 sailing of the Grandeur of the Seas out of New Orleans. We found the overall experience to be outstanding, with several areas deserving particular acclaim. There were, unfortunately, one or two areas that also need to be addressed by Royal Caribbean.

The overall condition of the ship is very good. It is not a new ship, though it has been maintained very well. All public areas have been maintained very well with no signs of worn or stained carpet. I did notice one or two scratches in the hardwood floors and walls, but they were small in nature. I was keeping a careful eye out for this sort of thing, so the average person would probably not even notice them.

Our cabin was also in good repair. The carpet was not stained, though a little worn. The furniture was in good shape and there were no broken or missing tiles in the bathroom. We found the size to be adequate, though not luxurious.
