We have just got back from the Island escape in the Canaries, after the phone call on the Friday ( we were travelling on Monday 14th February) to say that we weren't going to be on the Island escape due to refurb we would be given £100 per couple on board credit and that we would be on Thomson Spirit, i thought OK 2 ships in a week not too much hassle.

We arrived checked in OK now we have booked outside 3/4 deck they have just given me 2 deck so i thought OK i will politely ask why this has happened i know it is just 1 or 2 decks but then i have paid for it.

The head customer relations who was British was quite understanding and told us that we would be definately on deck 3/4 when we get on Island escape, they also offered a free trip for the inconvenience and a bottle of house champagne to both our rooms.(2 couples travelling). Read more
