This was actually a back-to-back, with the eastern Caribbean cruise of 11 days followed by the western Caribbean in ten. Having been to the Caribbean several times, we weren't interested in sightseeing, but wanted a good shipboard experience in warm weather in January. We indeed had that.
The ship itself is beautiful. Very modern, very well done, very well kept. The furniture, however, is designed for form and not function. Much of it is uncomfortable, with back angles from almost fully upright to almost flat. The cabins are a bit tight and short on storage space, and the couch is the most uncomfortable yet. None of this is overwhelming, just distracting.
The senior officers on this ship were the most visible and available we have ever encountered. They attended every function (Captain's Club, Cruise Critic, etc) and made a real effort to engage the passengers.Furthermore, they were very responsive to requests, complaints, suggestions, etc. Kudos to whomever created this attitude!
Tight, but adequate storage. Very uncomfortable couch, with poor lighting for reading. Good, quiet location and nice balcony.
