We have sailed with Princess before and have been quite pleased. However, Island Princess is the best we have experienced.
the most impressive was the crew. without exception, we were greeted by everyone and every crew member was more than happy to help.
Dining: We had early traditional dining 5:45. would have been better at 6:15; but a necessary schedule in order to get to entertainment venues.
We found the food to be very very good.
Because it was traditional we enjoyed the same waiters for the whole trip.
Alejandro and Marco were wonderful. They were very attentive and offered help in choosing the best and getting it there in a timely manner.
It was our good luck to have 4 dinner companions who were just delightful.
We enjoyed comedians, but I especially liked their production numbers. The costumes were fantastic.
Going through the canal was a great experience with 2 feet space on each side of the ship. It took about 1 1/2 hrs. Negative, however, was the fact that the port there could only accommodate one ship (it was celebrity)guess they beat princess to that slot.
We did cruise tours in 3 ports. Most enjoyed was the canal boat cruise at Limon.
We saw many creatures native to the rainforest and canal.
Even tho we had a few sea days, they were relaxing and enjoyable.
