Sail Date: Jan 2011

We did back to back sailings on the Crown in January - the 22nd and 29th. We've cruised a lot especially since retirement in late 2009 and mostly with Princess. We've done the Western Caribbean a number of times before and always enjoyed these islands. There are many tours to do, beaches to enjoy, fish to watch, and places to buy things. Weather can be a problem and affect being able to dock in Roatan or use the tenders at Princess Cays. We missed Roatan on the second cruise because the winds were too strong to dock safely.

Embarkation

For once we listened to the advice from Princess and boarded after 1 pm. Of course since we drove down from Orlando and that took a while we weren't tempted to try to get there early. We breezed through TSA checking, got our boarding passes and were onboard within ten minutes. Our luggage arrived about an hour later. Our in transit embarkation was even easier. We met at Vines at 10:30, were escorted off the ship and formed a line to present our passports. After a quick passport check we were headed back and reboarded the ship in minutes.
