DAY 1 -- SAILED FROM MIAMI 12/11/2004 - 12/18/2004. We are a couple in our early 40's and we traveled with another couple in the same age bracket from Minnesota. We arrived in Miami on Thursday, Dec 9, 2004 in the afternoon. We stayed at a friends house on Thursday and then we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott-Miami Beach Oceanfront on Friday night. Very Nice Hotel. Checked out the area and South Beach -- was not all that impressed.

SAT., DEC 11, 2004 -- We arrived at the pier at approximately 12:30 p.m. No wait at all (I had read other very recent reviews from other members that said they arrived and had to wait 1 hour to get in). However we were on the ship by 1:00 p.m. -- very very smooth.

What a wonderful ship. WOW!!!! This ship is the very largest that we have ever been on. Two years ago we went on the RCI Radiance of the Seas (what a charming boat she is also -- actually liked it better) leaving from San Juan to the Eastern Caribbean. This is lots larger & very much wider. Absolutely Splendid! We had lunch at the Windjammer (very good). The rest of the day we got ourselves acquainted with the ship. We had dinner in the dinning room in which the food was always VERY GOOD. Went to the show TJ McCormack, comedy and Kristian Kristoff, juggler. Good Show. Slept Very Good.
