This was the best of the four cruises we've been on to date. From embarkation to offload, everything went like clockwork.
We onloaded at approximately 1145 after a whopping 10 minutes at check-in counter! On top of that, our room was ready immediately! We've never had that happen. The room was well appointed with a spacious balcony on the port side of the ship forward. Even though we were quite a ways forward, we didn't ever feel things were too far away. We actually enjoyed the distance and thought of the walk as part of our exercise regimen.
Meals were typically top-notch Princess vintage with several choices. The quality was excellant. The wait staff was generally on top of things, but the meals sometimes ran long. We ate in the Da Vinci Room which apparently shares a kitchen with the Bottecelli Room. This was given as a reason for some of our delays. I'm not sure, but I think "anytime dining" might have slowed things up a bit as well. Sabatini's is a must, but be forewarned. Don't eat a big lunch or do too much snacking beforehand. They serve nearly all of their appetizers, etc. barely leaving room for the main course or dessert.
Our cabin was plenty big enough for us. We found it well appointed and with sufficient storage space. We also slept better than we have in a long time. The balcony was a great place to read or to sit sipping our favorite beverage just watching the world go by. Our temperature control was nearly perfect--so no issues there.
